I tell you what, that "Prison Break" is good stuff, but I look forward to next week, when new "Arrested Development" episodes return to TV. Tonight, well...I still haven't picked a solid winner on my Tuesday night line-up, I've kinda made it movie night. (And golly, that new Star Wars movie is out too...)
Oh good heavens, I need coffee!
What's on The Telly Tonight?
"America's Next Top Model" (Lesbian model Kim still in the running!)
8:00 p.m. ET - UPN
I'm not one to advocate reruns, but last week's "America's Next Top Model" was so much fun, I just had to mention it twice. It's a good primer for tomorrow night's new episode, and yes, Kim, the lesbian model-wannabe is still in the running. Hurray!
"TransGeneration" (Four transgendered students take on the world)
9:00 p.m. ET - Sundance
Not that you're watching, but tonight Raci asks for help to obtain hormones and later goes on a fun transgender biking outing - those helmets must wreak havoc with the big hair. On the eve of her sexual reassignment surgery, Gabbie' s parents throw a pre-op dinner party, making me wonder just how accepting my dear mamma and poppa would be if faced with the same situation. (I'm thinking Taco Bell takeout.)
"Flawless" (Robert De Niro)
9:00 p.m. ET - Logo
We really don't get to see enough Phillip Seymour Hoffman pre-op material, now do we? He hits the nail on the head portraying a transsexual who gives singing lessons to a homophobic retired cop (Robert De Niro, naturally).
"Heaven's a Drag" (A gay "Heaven Can Wait")
9:00 p.m. ET - here!
Now this sounds just plain wrong. When Mark (Ian Williams) dies from AIDS, his partner doesn't wait long enough before jumping back into the sheets with other, more lively, men. The ghost of Mark comes back to haunt his lover, proving my last break-up could have been much worse than previously thought. I'm sure this is Cheese. (And you'll notice that's with a capital C.)
"Nip/Tuck" (Bisexual doctor and lesbian anesthesiologist add zest to a zesty show)
Argh! Anne Heche Alert - the craziness (and I really mean it this time) must end. Stop giving Anne work, don't you know that's like handing heroin over to an addict? Sigh...tonight on "N/T," they make a protected witness from a goose into a crazy-ass swan, and yeah, Sean gets her good. God, Anne Heche. Go away!
"RANDOM 1" - Series Debut (Watch for cute straight guy John)
10:00 p.m. ET - A&E
Yeah, I know what you're thinking - just what the TV world needs, another "do gooder" show. But stow that sarcasm sister, it's exactly what the world needs! After all, our nation's advertising pricing infrastructure is going to hell in a hand basket, what with Tivos bringing down the price tag of television commercials and newspapers going belly-up nationwide. The only way we're gonna surf the fat, corporate economy-boosting runoff is through these programs where big, evil corporations give product to poor people to make themselves look better. And it WORKS! On this new show, two cute (and I do mean cute) men take to the highways, stopping at towns along the way and giving those in need a little lift. It's not as extreme as "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" of course, that's the Granddaddy of all "do gooder" shows...but it has it's place. I definitely prefer Mr. John Chester to Amy Grant, no contest! (John's really the only reason I'm going to watch...I need man candy!) "Random 1" focuses on doing the whole Good Samaritan thing and features a gang of helpful friends who prowl the streets of America looking for folks in need of help solving every day problems. On each one-hour show, the team finds a way to give two strangers a special leg-up, pushing them in a life-changing direction, and sometimes, just sometimes, it takes. Think 'random acts of kindess' meets a low-budget "Three Wishes." (Hey, it's A&E - they don't have the big bucks...)
I loove nip/tuck, espcially how they do some of the procedures, makes me think of (http://www.beauty-pro.de) siick
